…then my news must be bountiful. I believe it is. Ravenshead Press has been quiet since last December and here are the reasons why. 1. My full time job changed to a more demanding role in IT and suddenly my free time diminished. It was/is a role outside my comfort zone with computers and demanded plenty of hands on learning. 2. Although the blog might have seemed a little quiet of late much has been going on behind the scenes. Ravenshead Press has been busy working alongside the poets from the Poets’ Graves forum to produce a collection which captured a cross section of the poetry which passes through it. Many poems were submitted for possible inclusion and each received rigorous examination by the editors. Last Friday I was lucky enough to attend the opening of the Micro Gallery in New Milton run by Cultura Press. This is a very exciting development for the New Forest as it helps to draw together the various artists working in the area. It also provides a central hub for finding out about local events. Work on the The Poetry Forum‘s anthology is coming along nicely. The book content has been finalised and proofread. It has now been assigned an ISBN number which only leaves the cover design to be decided upon. So far various mock ups have been created and it will fall to the forum members to decide which suits them best.
